Dave Winer describes this group as ‘a miracle’: ‘It’s the first time, to my knowledge, that there’s been a discussion of RSS that wasn’t dominated by developers’. Note the post, ‘Explaining RSS to the tech-impaired’.

Didn’t Dave Winer start the group?
You’ve probably seen the Scripting News entry (http://archive.scripting.com/2003/12/25 ). It was, indeed, his initiative: he’s clearly pleased with the way it’s gone in its short life, but the not-so-hidden sub-text is the continuing war of the RSS developers. Winer is keen to keep the emphasis on users — as are others (see http://www.25hoursaday.com/weblog/PermaLink.aspx?guid=dd72aa95-a749-44f6-8546-b4753b9578b6 ).
Interesting to see from the same issue of Scripting News that Dave Winer hopes to be staying on at Harvard.
